If you didn’t make it down to the Sydney Build Expo last week, you missed a cracker. Okay, it was baking hot at the Australian Technology Park, and as a first-time event for Sydney (and as we were exhibiting), we didn’t know what to expect….
We exhibited at Sydney Build Expo last Thursday and Friday and what an awesome conference it was. Attended by over 40 expert speakers, the conference sessions and workshops covered developments, opportunities and the latest strategies in the New South Wales construction industry. The Sydney Build Expo team put together a fantastic event that kept us extremely busy on both days. We had really good meetings with some of the biggest and most forward-thinking people in construction. There was a great mix of construction companies, subcontractors, project managers, contract administrators and other software start-ups that came past to visit our very blue stand.
The temperature may have reached the same as the Sun’s core, and with limited air-con available, everyone was certainly working up a sweat; but that was a small price to pay for the traffic we had at our stand. The humidity was made more bearable from the influx of fans that were brought in on the second day and the great entertainment by Junkyard Beats helped take your mind off the heat. Check them out here.
.After lunch on Day 1 we were able to listen in on a great speech about BIM to Field, Field to BIM. We listened with intent as they spoke about how deliverables directly from cloud data and taking 3D from the office back to the field. Great stuff.
.Our integration partners, Viewpoint, also had a stand and were demonstrating their fantastic Construction Management Software. They are a fully integrated ERP system offering solutions that improve project profitability and visibility, manage risk, and effectively collaborate. We love integrating with them.
On Day 2 we had a slot at the Live Demo Area where we were going to do a role play. We (including the Sydney Build Expo team) decided it was too hot in this little area to do it………so we wangled our way on the main stage in between workshops. We called it a commercial break.
Re-live it in all its glory below – enjoy!
